Talent Show is the 6th episode of the 2nd season and the 26th episode overall of Andrew & Heidi.

Plot

Andrew and Heidi are watching TV in Andrew’s house. They are watching the DCI World Championship on the Performing Arts Channel. Dani comes in and researches the group who is performing now on TV on her PearPad. The group is the Madison Scouts from 1975. Michael and Katy come in and Michael is frustrated because he got a speeding ticket and has to appear in court. He also got into a fight with a police officer.

At Ithaca High School, Andrew and Heidi are walking in, holding hands. A boy video-tapes them on his phone and Andrew takes his phone, steps on it, and breaks it. Then, Andrew and Heidi notice some kids putting up a sign in sheet. Andrew and Heidi ask a girl what she is doing. The girl says they are putting up a sign in sheet for the school talent show. Dylan comes in and signs up and says he’s going to do magic. Andrew then suspects Heidi wants to sign up. Heidi then makes up an excuse to go with her grandmother for sock shopping. Andrew and Heidi say goodbye, but then Heidi walks out the door, then walks back in, and starts to sign up. Andrew comes back and sees her signing up. He asks what her talent is and she refuses to tell him and runs away. He runs after her. At Heidi’s house, Andrew comes in and Charlotte greets him and she tells him Heidi is upstairs. He goes upstairs and hears Heidi singing “Like Someone in Love.” He says to himself that she sounds really good. He enters Heidi’s bedroom and Heidi sees him. Andrew asks her if that’s the secret she was hiding and she says yes. Heidi reveals she thought he wouldn’t believe that she sang really well. Andrew compliments her on her singing and Heidi admits she’s afraid to sing in front of people. She tells him about the time she was in a Kindergarten Thanksgiving pageant and she threw up. Andrew encourages her to sing at the talent show. At The Station, Andrew and Heidi are talking about the talent show. Andrew tells her that she has to look good for the show and also suggests she sing “I Wanna Be Where You Are.” by Michael Jackson. Heidi still worries that she will get scared up on stage and fall or faint. Andrew says he doubts that will happens and says she can do it. A waiter comes by and they order. At school, The boy who Andrew’s smashed his phone compliments Heidi on her singing on the talent show rehearsal. Andrew compliments Heidi on her singing and Heidi thanks him by flirting with him. Andrew gets impressed and Heidi thinks she will be okay during the talent show.

At Andrew’s house at 3 AM, Heidi is knocking on the door and Andrew answers the door. She has tissue boxes for shoes because she sleeps barefoot. Heidi reveals she had a nightmare about the talent show and is again nervous. She said her nightmare was about she fell on stage and the stage turned into quicksand and Andrew saved her and she then puked. Andrew gets Heidi and himself some Belgium cocoa. Heidi is nervous that she will throw up or something worse on stage. Andrew says she’s in denial. Heidi says she’s scared and doesn’t know what to do and starts to cry. Andrew comforts her. Andrew says he knows she can do it. Heidi blows her nose in a tissue in her tissue box shoes. In court, Michael and Katy bring Dani. A police officer makes Michael swear to tell the truth. Then the judge named Aaron Stover, who looks like Sylvester Stallone walks in. The police officer tells the judge what Michael did and Michael admits he was speeding and doesn’t know why he was speeding. He asks if he’s off the hook and the judge says he’s thinking of finding him guilty. Michael admits he didn’t know he was speeding and apologizes. The judge makes Michael promise not to do something like this again and ends the court. Michael is happy. At the talent show, a girl is singing The Joke Is On You and a boy just drinks milk. Dylan goes in to do lame magic tricks and everyone boos. Heidi goes on last and she falls down. Andrew pulls her backstage and encourages her to go back out. Heidi does and successfully sings the song and wins the trophy. Andrew and Heidi kiss and go home. At home, Andrew & Heidi and his family tell each other what they did today. Michael says it feels good to be innocent 11 times.

Andrew: Heidi! I know that you were singing in here.

Heidi: How did you know I was singing?

Andrew: I heard you singing outside in the hallway and then I came in here and watched you sing. Heidi! Was that the secret you were hiding from me?

Heidi: [approaches her bed and grabs her pink stuffed rabbit Sophie and sits down on her bed]

Andrew: Heidi! Was that your secret?

Heidi: Yes!

Andrew: Is singing really your talent?

Heidi: Yes! That's what I'm planning on doing for the talent show.

Andrew: [Approaches Heidi and sits next to her on the bed] Heidi! Why didn't you tell this in the first place?

Heidi: I was afraid you wouldn't believe me when I would tell that I can sing really well.

Andrew: Hey! I believe you! You really have a good singing voice. You really sounded good.

Heidi: You really think so?

Andrew: Actually, I know so! You can really really sing. Your voice pretty much proved it to me.

Heidi: Thank you Andrew!

Andrew: No problem!

Heidi: I love singing!

Andrew: I can tell you really do. If you can use that voice on stage this Friday, I'm really sure you're going to do really well in that talent show.

Heidi: Yeah! But there's one problem!

Andrew: Say what?

Heidi: There's one problem! I'm too scared to sing in front of people.

Andrew: What makes you say that?

Heidi: Well, when I was in kindergarten, I was in a thanksgiving pageant, I was getting ready to sing a song on stage, and people were looking at me.

Andrew: And?

Heidi: For no in particular reason, I got so nervous and then I threw up on stage.

Andrew: Wow! That is some vomiting epidemic you just told me about.

Michael: Your honor! I'm just going to go right out with it. I was speeding in the car, and pretty much got a speeding ticket and yes I did call this officer a pathetic grunch.

Judge: Any reason why you were speeding?

Michael: I just had no idea that I was speeding. My wife was with me when I was driving real fast. I'm really innocent your honor, I know that whole chiz I did was wrong and then.....

Judge: Whoa whoa whoa! Hold on there! Chiz?

Michael: It's just some usual figure of speech!

Judge: Wow! I just learned something today.

Michael: So am I off hook your honor?

Judge: That's depends! Even though you did admit on what you did, I'm thinking about finding you guilty.

Katy: And some how I knew it!

Dani: Well Mom! I was lucky to come to the court house with you guys.

Katy: Say what?

Dani: I said I was.....oh I'll just shut-up!
